A Message From Your President-Elect
It’s hard to believe but in just a few short days we will be arriving at the Tinley Park Convention Center in Tinley Park, Illinois for the 2016 Illinois Funeral Directors Association Convention. This will be my 23rd straight convention as a member of IFDA and I look forward to this event each and every year.

First and foremost, I want to thank all of the companies that sponsored this year’s event. Without your help, this convention would not be possible. We have an outstanding line up of top-notch presenters, as well as an exhibit floor full of industry experts that will help you elevate your business to the next level. Not only do we have a new lineup of speakers, we also have 13 NEW vendors that will be joining the mix this year!

This is our one opportunity as a staff and board to gather with all the membership in Illinois so we sincerely hope you have the opportunity to join us. Pre-registration is closed, but if you are not sure yet whether you can get away, we will have staff available onsite to register you at the last minute. Where else can you go to fulfill your continuing education requirements and network with the top funeral directors in the state? Oh yeah! In the meantime, we can have some fun too!

This year, IFDA will also have a booth available on the exhibit hall floor and we hope you have time to stop by and let us know what IFDA can do for you. Our industry is changing every day and revenues are harder to come by but not one of us has to reinvent the wheel. This is the perfect opportunity to find out what other funeral homes are doing to build their brand and stay strong in an industry that is struggling to find its identity.

I sincerely hope you can find the time to join us. I promise you won’t be disappointed! On behalf of the IFDA Board and Staff, thank you for your membership with IFDA. I look forward to seeing you in Tinley Park!
