ICYMI: No Scattering of Ashes of the Faithful
The Vatican announced Tuesday that Catholics may be cremated but should not have their ashes scattered at sea or kept in urns at home.  According to new guidelines from the Vatican's doctrinal office, cremated remains should be kept in a "sacred place" such as a church cemetery. Ashes should not be divided up between family members, "nor may they be preserved in mementos, pieces of jewelry or other objects."

IFDA Office Holiday Schedule

The IFDA Office will observe the following holiday schedule:

 

November 24-25  Thanksgiving Holiday
December 23      Office will be open till Noon
December 26      Office closed in observance of Christmas Day

December 30      Office will be open till Noon
January 2           Office closed in observance of New Year's
                          Day

Gen Y and Millennial (born 1982-1995)

  • Only 29% are engaged at work
  • 40% would like to leave their current employer in the next two years
  • They are spending $13 less per day than their same age group in 2008-a difference which costs the U.S. economy at least $949 million each day

Gen Z (born 1996-2009)

  • Send and receive over 67 texts every day
  • 42% say social media had a direct impact on how they feel about themselves
  • Spend 41% of time outside of school/work with computers or mobile devices, compared to 22% among millennials 10 years ago

Workforce ScaryStats

  • Baby Boomers will retire at a rate of 10,000 per day through 2030
  • 54% of workforce says it will be essential for them to get training and develop new skills to keep up with changes in workplace
  • Only 49% of U.S workers say they are very satisfied with their current job
  • 94% of employers are using social media for recruiting talent.
